After completing her Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Pretoria, building upon a strong foundation in Animal Science, Dr. Kay-Lynn Hendricks began her professional career with the State Veterinary Services in 2024.
Dr. Kay-Lynn is a dedicated general practitioner with a passion for surgery and community medicine. Her work at the Mdzananda Animal Clinic has provided her with extensive hands-on experience, having performed over 500 surgical procedures, including routine sterilizations as well as more complex surgeries like amputations and enucleations. She is skilled in diagnostics, including physical examination, radiography, and ultrasonography. Dr. Kay-Lynn is committed to animal welfare and actively contributes to community sterilization campaigns to manage stray animal populations. She is also passionate about mentoring the next generation of veterinary professionals, having supervised and trained UNISA students.
In her personal time, she enjoys staying active and has a background in various customer-facing roles, which has honed her exceptional client communication skills. She is able to consult in English and Afrikaans.
