Ever since Dr. Keith Yiu started to become a Veterinary Surgeon, his passion has always been in veterinary surgery. He says he likens the science of surgery to the art of performing in a theatre.

Keith first joined Pets Central in 2009, when he was a fairly new graduate and was mentored by Dr. Kurt Verkest in medicine, understanding that good surgery practice needs to be complimented with good knowledge in medicine. Keith left Pets Central to gain experience in surgery skills at a charity organisation where he helped with numerous welfare cases and then widened his surgical skills to include exotics animals in one of the exotics hospitals in Hong Kong. There he completed his post graduate certificate in Small Animal Surgery.

Keith rejoined Pets Central in August 2021 as the Director of Surgery overseeing our surgery services. He will support Pets Central vets develop their surgical skills.
